Lies vs TRUTH

 

Throughout my life I was under massive deception. I had no objective standard of truth. I was a hypocrite, illogical and amoral. Below are listed six lies I believed as a pagan, followed by seven truths I learned after surrendering to Christ. If you don’t have a biblical worldview, you are borrowing from it. God created everything, including truth. We all know right and wrong because God gives us a conscience. Maintaining consistent application of God’s law is paramount to loving Him and loving our neighbor. 

 

Many people argue that Christians are dumb and mistake our kindness for weakness - I certainly used to. The Lord made us with brains, and he wants us to use them. The Bible contains various types of literature including law, history, narrative, poetry, genealogy and prophecy. There are many verses in scripture that command us to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ, to be self-controlled and sober-minded. We are to measure our speech, repay good for evil, and leave revenge to the Lord. Meekness is defined as power under control. Meekness is not weakness; this is how Christ operated while on earth. His return to earth will tell a different story. Biblical standards of justice, love and mercy are what contribute to any flourishing society. 

 

Today, we cannot even agree on definitions for male and female. Women have special murder rights. The slaughter of babies and the mutilation of children is financed by the government. Men have allowed women to take over their roles. Marxism has infiltrated our nation, slowly and ever so surely bleeding us dry of any desire to oppose evil. Friend, the Bible answers all of this. Don’t believe the lies. Jesus Christ is the TRUTH, and the TRUTH will set you FREE.
